Pray the Bible: Day 13
Jesus’ Prayer in the Garden of Gethsemane
“My Father, if it’s possible, take this cup of suffering away from me. However— not what I want but what you want.” Matthew 26:39
Perhaps one of the most powerful prayers is the prayer of powerlessness—the prayer where you give up your will in favor of God’s and truly accept His guidance. By renouncing your own desires for His, your surrender becomes victory.
Lord, when I am up against insurmountable challenges give me the faith to firmly place the situation in Your hands knowing that I will accept the outcome because it comes from You, my loving Father.
